Adverbs are two kinds; they are adverbs of time and those of place. Those of time are the most important in English, how? Adverbs of time are considered the first hint may be included in a certain sentence to tell the reader that this sentence is of the time this adverb suit to... for this we need to mention that every time or - in more specific words - every tense has its own adverbs that at most are its only. for example we have thew adverb of time usually, it is an adverb of present simple tense.

yesterday, last+time, previous+time, ago, by+time in past, time in past=== simple present
now, at this time, right now=== present continuous
when, while=== past continuous
recently, never, ever, yet, so far, just===present perfect
after, before=== past perfect
today, tomorrow, by+time in future=== future
In the case we don't find an adverb in the sentence, we have to go through the meaning of the sentence to guess out the meaning of this tense of this sentence
